This is an open invitation to all Catholics who love Mary, our glorious Queen and immaculate Mother.

You are being invited to an incredible opportunity for us to be consecrated (or renew our consecration) to Jesus through Mary with Bishop Robert Morlino on Tuesday, May 24, 5:00 PM at St. Mary of Pine Bluff. The method of consecration set forth by St. Louis de Montfort consists of a 33-day period of prayerful preparation followed by an actual act of consecration itself.

Total Consecration to Mary, explains St. Louis de Montfort, “consists in surrendering oneself in the manner of a slave to Mary, and to Jesus through her, and then performing all our actions with Mary, in Mary, through Mary, and for Mary” (The Secret of Mary, No. 28). It is also known as “True Devotion to Mary,” “Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary,” and “Holy Slavery.”

What To Do

1. You may want to read The Secret of Mary to understand what it is all about. For a more detailed and in-depth understanding, read True Devotion to Mary.
2. From the listing of Marian feast days, choose a consecration date that is meaningful to you. We are choosing May 24, The Feast of Our Lady, Help Of Christians.
3. Begin the 33-day preparation on the appropriate date. We are beginning on Holy Thursday, April 21.
4. Make the Act of Consecration on the feast day you have selected.
