Nearly 500 people were in attendance. Dr. Kreeft is a professor of philosophy at Boston College and is considered one of the leading voices combatting the growing influences of modernism and secularism in our times.

Dr. Peter Kreeft pulled no punches in this presentation entitled, “Can a Catholic Be a Liberal?” His premise was based on the power of words and how their meaning can change or be manipulated to further a political agenda. Dr. Kreeft admitted that he once considered himself a liberal Democrat. Now he considers himself a conservative Republican. Yet, none of his positions have changed, just the idea of what it means to be liberal or conservative has changed drastically in his lifetime.

Dr Kreeft told the audience, “Yet, in the political realm, the term liberal has been hijacked by abortion rights activists, Kreeft said. “A Catholic cannot be today what is called a liberal about abortion. That’s obvious. That’s a ‘duh.’”
